I'm using Filezilla and the great Notepad++ (I use it also for others languages, is the best text-editing appication).

For PHP I use PHPDesigner and for FTP I use Filezilla.

I use Filezilla for my FTP and Notepad++ to edit any files .

I concur - Filezilla + Notepad++ Although I did like SmartFTP until about a year or two ago.
Problem is - I don't think I have been able to fully maximise the functions for either program - as it's literally just used for file transfers and editing simple files.

I tried once to use a ftp porgram and it was a disaster lol
