I am pretty upset since I had to either rebuild the forum or go to a previous database.
Well I chose to go back 2 weeks. The problem is during that time I gained 40 members who are of course not in the DB.
Is there a way to copy the users from one database to the other? I have both of them loaded in CPanel.
Better yet as I think about this.. is there a way to set the permissions on the forum so that when the guests come in they cannot see the posts.. but they can access it through the link that is posted?
For instance..
If I submitted this link:
which is on my main forum..
Is there a way to let them see that link and not have access to the rest of the forum?
If I can find a way to do that I will save myself a lifetime of reworking the site...LOL
