ChatBoxes as well as ShoutBoxes are quite demanding on a forum hosting account.
Developping a good one that is very reliable, is quite time consuming. This is a place were an Ajax interface is important and must be designed carefully.
There are already a few good ones actually available, but people are always demanding more features to be added to them and more integration with MyBB internal functions!
Maybe one day i will develop one, but i do not believe it will be available before 2011...

, i enjoy your mods they are great
i've tried the ajax one aswell but didnt like it, its GOOD but cant handle a heap of people on the chat.
